IELTS এ Reading Module এর True/False/Not given অথবা Yes/No/Not given প্রশ্নের উত্তর সঠিকভাবে প্যাসেজটি পড়ে বুঝতে পারল কি না তার দক্ষতা বিচারের মধ্যে মূলত প্রশ্নগুলো সাজানো থাকে। 

প্রথমতঃ প্রশ্নগুলো মনোযোগ দিয়ে পড়া এবং key word গুলো মাথায় রাখা। চাইলে পেন্সিল ব্যাবহারের মাধ্যমে Underline করে নিতে পারেন

দ্বিতীয়তঃ যে key word গুলো সহজেই মিলে যাবে সেগুলোর বেশিরভাগই False/Not given হয়ে থাকে।

তৃতীয়ঃ প্রশ্নের সাথে প্যাসেজের বিষয়বস্তু সম্পূর্ণ মিলে গেলে True। তবে True এর উত্তর গুলোর ক্ষেত্রে Key word হুবহু মেলার সম্ভাবনা কম। কারণ বেশিরভাগ সময়েই এই শব্দের Synonym ব্যাবহার করা হয়।

চতুর্থঃ Falseস এর তথ্য সহজেই পাওয়া যায়। তবে মূল বিষয়বস্তু বিপরীত থাকে। তাই প্যাসেজগুলো ভালোভাবে বুঝে এবং দ্রুত পড়ার চেষ্টা করুন।

পঞ্চমঃ কোনো প্রশ্নের মধ্যে Only থাকলে No/False দিয়ে আসবেন।  হ্যাঁ, তবে অবশ্যই সেটা হাতে পর্যাপ্ত সময় না থাকলে। তাছাড়াও কোনো প্রশ্নের কারো বিশ্বাস জাতীয় কথা থাকলের False/No হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা থাকে।

ষষ্ঠঃ Not Given এর ক্ষেত্রে Subject অথবা Object অনুপস্থিত থাকবে। তবে More/Most যুক্ত বাক্য থাকলে বেশিরভাগ সময়ে Not given হওয়ার Chance থাকে।

চলুন একটি উদাহরণের মাধ্যমে কিছুটা ধারণা নিই~

“Smoking is dangerous and leads to cancer” – True/False/Not given. কিভাবে বুঝবেন?

• যদি সরাসরি বলা থাকে  “smoking is dangerous and leads to cancer,” then the answer is true.. 
• আবার যদি বলা হয় “No research showed evidence that smoking is dangerous and leads to cancer” then the answer is False.
• আবার যদি এভাবে হয় “The research included smoking people of both genders of ages 30 to 45, and nothing else about smoking – your answer is not given.

অর্থাৎ, সহজেই বুঝা যায় এখানে একই কথার মধ্যে ভিন্নতা রয়েছে। কিন্তু যদি সঠিকভাবে বুঝার দক্ষতা থাকে তাহলে সহজেই এই উত্তরগুলো দেওয়া যাবে।
